  • The pier overlooks the beach and Oceanside Harbor, and on a clear day (it almost always is) you can see Catalina Island.
At 1,942 feet, the Oceanside Municipal Pier is one of the longest wooden recreational piers on the West Coast. If you can't make the five-minute walk to the pier's end (where there's a restaurant and bar), just hop on the 50-cent shuttle.
