  • This is the beach for serious surfers in La Jolla. The snorkeling isn't bad either.
  • There are separate swimming and surfing areas; because of the occasionally rough waters, swimming here is not recommended for children.
  • A steep beach and offshore reef create hard-breaking surf right up to the shoreline, making this beach best for experienced surfers only.
