• On a map this site appears to be Leucadia State Beach. Road signs, however, say Beacon's—and that's how the locals refer to this surfing hot spot.
• There are no restrooms and the beach is accessed by a long trail down—and back up—so be prepared for a hike. Staying for the day? Bring food, water, and anything else you'll need, as the beach has no available services.
• A reef off of Beacon's makes for good surfing. The beach is more popular with locals than visitors, and less crowded than most of the area's full-facilities beaches.
