Windy Gap is a moderately strenuous trail leading to the pass which bears its name. Your options are numerous at this point. You can return the same way you came, take a loop hike on the Pacific Crest Trail to Mt. Hawkins Ridge Trail or you can continue to Little Jimmy Trail or you can continue to Little Jimmy Campground a quarter-mile further. You can hike to Mt. Islip Trail or you can walk on the Pacific Crest Trail to Mexico or Canada if you wish!

Directions: From Azusa, CA, Travel San Gabriel Canyon Road 25 miles north to the Crystal Lake Recreation Area.

Elevation: 6,300 feet

Distance: 2.5 miles

Difficulty: Moderate/Strenuous
