Cedar Spring Trail begins at 5,760 feet and climbs 3.2 miles up to the Pacific Crest Trail and the Desert Divide.

Cedar Spring Trail is a moderate 3.2-mile hike, beginning at 5,760 feet elevation. The trail connects with the Pacific Crest Trail, along the Desert Divide south of Palm View Peak, at an elevation of 6,400 feet. To Cedar Spring, take the one-mile branch trail northeast off the PCT. The Jo Pond Trail, 11 miles and strenuous, connects to Cedar Spring to the Palm Springs Indian Canyons / West Fork Trail.

Directions: From Mountain Center, CA, Travel south on Highway 74, continuing several miles past Lake Hemet (Garner Valley Area, which lies between Idyllwild and Palm Springs). Turn left (east) onto Morris Ranch Road (6S53) where the trailhead is located.

Elevation: 5,760 feet

Ending Elevation: 6,400 feet

Elevation Gain: 640 feet

Difficulty: Moderate
