Jenks Lake is a great place to hike, picnic, sightsee, and fish.

Jenks Lake Trail begins at the Barton Flats Visitor Center on the Rio Monte Trail. It then follows Barton Road to an old logging road to Jenks Lake. Access from Jenks Lake just below the dam following on the west side of Frog Creek.

Nearby Jenks Lake Picnic Ground features sites that have tables, stoves or barbecues, handicapped accessibility, and vault toilets.

Directions: From Bear Valley/Woodlands, CA, Travel west on Highway 38 to Barton Flats Visitor Information Center on the west side of the highway. The trail begins on the Rio Monte Trail.

Distance: 1.0 miles

Difficulty: Moderate
