From the trailhead Palm Canyon Trail runs north back to Palm Springs descending the entire length of Palm Canyon to Palm Springs. The distance from the trailhead is 9 miles to the Forest Service boundary. After reaching the boundary you will need written permission from the Agua Caliente Tribal Council, to hike portions of the Palm Canyon Trail that cross tribal lands. Directions: From Palm Springs, CA, The trailhead is located on Highway 74 approximately 9 miles south of Palm Springs, just west of the Pinyon Flats Campground on the north side of the of Highway 74.
