Creative sandwiches and salads score high marks with regulars, as do the eatery's freshly baked goods and reasonable prices (entrees range from $5 to $9). Particular menu standouts include the egg-salad sandwich and the macaroni-and-cheese specialty, both of which are superlative. Though gay-owned, Zinc attracts a primarily straight clientele that tends to pack this sidewalk café at breakfast and lunch. That said, the place is totally gay-friendly.
