• Because this is a sensitive marine habitat only ten divers are allowed into the water per day, and you have to make a reservation in advance (831.625.8536). You can call up to two weeks in advance. There is no fee to dive, but there is a fee to enter the gated community of Pebble Beach.
• Watch for harbor seals diving with you. You'll see large abalone if you're able to go deep, but the shallows are good too, which is why this is an area for both novice and expert divers.
• If you're an advanced diver and diving from a boat or kayak, head out about a mile to the site called the Pinnacles.
