You can walk Carmel on your own—and it's definitely a town to walk because much of its charm is hidden away in secret courtyards and pathways. But it's worth it to book a tour with this company and get a real insider's view of magical Carmel.
Guided tours last two hours and they're offered Tuesday through Saturday, once each day except Saturdays when there are two tours.
You'll see architecture by Frank Lloyd Wright, Charles S. Greene, and Julia Morgan (architect of Hearst Castle). You'll learn insider facts, like why Clint Eastwood named his pub the Hog's Breath Inn, and you'll check out the oldest gallery in Carmel and famed photographer Edward Weston's photo studio. Of course you'll also see famous movie locations and almost as famous Carmel homes.
