Russian Gulch State Park is located on California's northern coast and features miles of hiking trails, a waterfall surrounded by redwood trees, oceanscapes, and a protected beach. It is a popular place for both divers and campers.

  • Easy entry and a protected cove make this a popular spot for scuba diving.
  • Don't be surprised to find yourself swimming among the seals, but remember they are wild animals—don't try to touch or bother them in any way. The best underwater wildlife ops are at the mouth of the cove, but closer in you'll also find plenty of sea creatures, especially on the left side of the cove.
  • There's an outside shower in the parking lot for rinsing off.
