• Swimming, surfing, diving, volleyball—it's all here. This is one of the Malibu beaches with lots of parking, but you have to pay for it. All Malibu beaches are smoke- and dog-free.
• Many surfers consider this two-mile stretch of sand Malibu's best all-around beach. By the way, don't call it Zuma Beach, just call it Zuma if you want to fit in with the local scene.
• Lifeguards are on duty, so surf near them. If you're a diver, stop and let lifeguards know where you're planning to dive and how long you'll be under.
