• Make no mistake, this is one crowded beach on a nice day. If you're looking for that away-from-it-all feeling, this isn't the place. People watching? You bet. In spite of crowds, it's clean, thanks to a daily cleaning by the city.
• In the early mornings, look offshore for dolphins who can sometimes be seen leaping in the waters.
• Are you active? The path by the beach goes for miles and you'll have lots of company. There's also volleyball and basketball. If you want to rent a bike, there are places on the beach to do so.
