  • This is a classic Malibu home built in 1930 for the family that owned Malibu. At one time the land owned by this family was the most valuable single real estate holding in the country—they paid between $10 and $22 per acre for it.
  • One of the most beautiful aspects of the home is the lavish use of Malibu tiles, produced by Malibu Potteries (1926-1932). Guided tours of the house and grounds are offered Wednesday to Saturday.
  • Before or after touring the house, go next door to adjacent Malibu Lagoon Museum where historic photographs and artifacts depict Malibu's ever-interesting history.
