• Nicholas Canyon Beach is just south of Leo Carillo State Beach. Surfers call this beach by a different name. If you hear a reference to Zero's Beach, this is it.
• Entering the water here can be very challenging—this isn't a site for novices. Many divers go out by kayak, but that takes considerable skill. If you go in from the beach, the best dive site is about 125 yards out, where there are kelp beds.
• Restrooms are at the north end of the beach, and there are showers, too.
