Sturtevant Falls, one of the highest waterfalls in the Angeles National Forest (55 feet), is a popular 1.75-mile hike in Big Santa Anita Canyon. People who have strayed from the trail have been severely injured by falling! Do not try climbing the steep rocksides!
Directions: From Sierra Madre, CA, Take the Santa Anita Avenue and go north to Chantry Flat. Start at the trailhead and descend into the canyon via the Gabrielion Trail.
