The Lover's Cove Marine Preserve is a marine sanctuary protected by the State of California. Lover's Cove is host to clean, clear waters, free of mainland pollution and surf. The cove's undersea gardens harbor dozens of species of fish and invertebrates. Bright orange Garibaldi will eat right out of your hand. Catalina Dive Shop is located in the heart of the Lover's Cove Preserve.

  • Kelp beds make this an especially beautiful place to snorkel for all abilities and ages. Both snorkeling gear and guided tours are available.
  • No diving is allowed at Lovers Cove. Look for the island's famous fish—the brightly colored garibaldi.
