This 3.7-mile loop not only offers superlative views, but it's also a good spring wildflower destination. This special tract of land is managed by the Newton County Resource Council, and offers views in all directions from the crest of Round Top Mountain. You will also see rockhouses, overhangs, and even a crash site where a plane went down in the 1940s. The trails are well marked and maintained and the overlooks are easy to identify. The trail first circles around the base of a cliff-line along Round Top Mountain, then gains the crest of the mountain and explores it from end to end, where vistas await.

Directions: From downtown Jasper, take AR 7 south for 2.2 miles to the trailhead, up a steep hill to your right. The trail starts at the upper end of the parking area near the small nature center building.
