Panoramas from the edge of the Mogollon Rim and a great diversity of plant life reward visitors on this easy one-mile loop. Signs relate history, medicinal plants, and forest life. The first half-mile is paved on this wheelchair-accessible trail. The trailhead is just west of AZ 260; head north three miles on the highway from the Lakeside Ranger Station in Pinetop-Lakeside, or turn south 5.5 miles on AZ 260 from Show Low. Staff at the Lakeside Ranger District office (2022 W. White Mtn. Blvd.) offer recreation information on nearby campgrounds, scenic drives, hiking trails, and fishing lakes.
