Alsina is located near San Telmo, and has been the best disco in town for several years runnning. (Some still refer to it by its former name, Palacio.) Located in an historic 19th-century building with high ceilings, on Saturdays it's straight but on Fridays the crowd is mixed and the music is a bit industrial. Sundays are by far the best night, and those who are tired of dragging themselves out so late for Buenos Aires nightlife will appreciate the fact that the Alsina Sunday T Dance is packed by about 10:30 p.m. The bar staff is fun, and if you stay at the very gay Axel hotel, you are just a short stumble away.
