The Saltry is the only restaurant in Halibut Cove. Located on Ismailof Island, Halibut Cove is a remote community of a few dozen people, mainly fishermen and artists. The restaurant specializes in seafood, and the menu includes pasta, chowders, fresh mussels, and daily international specials. The restaurant bakes its own bread and harvests the ingredients for its salads, and locals provide a varied catch for the grill. Other specialties of the restaurant include chocolate cheesecake, pies, fine wines, and ale on tap. Lunch is available from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. Dinner is served from 4:00 to 9:00 p.m. and ranges from $14 to $25. Reservations are recommended.
