Featuring hands-on exhibits that encourage imaginative and active play, including a Medieval area that lets kids dress up as knights and ladies, visit a blacksmith’s shop, and pretend to cook soup in a cauldron; and a “campground” where children can climb into tents and pretend to build a fire; along with regular changing exhibits. As city children’s museums go, the Duluth Children’s Museum is big on charm and real play experiences and less about flashy high-budget exhibits.

It’s a great place for kids to burn energy and stretch their imaginations while parents take a break. It is located inside the historic Union Depot, and the admission charge covers other Depot attractions, including the Lake Superior Railroad Museum and Duluth Art Institute.
