• With the canals, gondolas, and gondoliers in traditional straw hats and striped shirts, you'll almost believe you're floating down the narrow waterways of Venice, Italy. Alas, it's Long Beach and while the tours do sail throughNaples, it's really Naples Island, California. If it's any consolation, a couple of the gondolas were imported from Italy.
• These relaxing, romantic tours are very popular. While you can't request one of the singing gondoliers—not all of them sing—the crew recommends booking a trip two to three weeks ahead.
• One-hour tours run from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. seven days a week.
