BeachExpert Tips & Helpful Hints
  • This two-mile long beach is a favorite with surfers, skaters, cyclists, and fishing enthusiasts.
  • The beach is a nesting sanctuary for the rare and endangered California least tern and for the threatened snowy plover. It's never okay to disturb the birds or nests in any way.
  • The beach can be accessed from several points along the multi-use path. Some of these access trails have steeper slopes than others; the two at the south end of the beach are easiest.
