  • The walk up Avalon Canyon Road to the garden can take 30–45 minutes, maybe more with small kids. If you'd rather not hike it, rent a golf cart.
  • Plan your visit for early in the day to beat the heat.
Gum guru William Wrigley, Jr, also played an integral role in improving and developing Catalina Island. After his death in 1932, the Wrigley Memorial was built to honor him, using as many local Catalina materials as possible from the quarried stones
