- This is one of the country's largest aquariums, with 12,500 animals representing 500 species in 19 habitats. With 32 focus exhibits, there's a lot to see. The aquarium interprets one ocean onlythe Pacific.
- Don't miss Shark Lagoon with its fierce predators; you can even touch some of the underwater creatures. Feed the Australian lorikeets at Lorikeet Forest. The Shorebird Sanctuary resembles a natural wetland, such as Bolsa Chica Ecological Reserve in Huntington Beach.
- If you must visit on a summer weekend, beat the crowds by arriving between 9 a.m and 10 a.m. During busy times the aquarium uses a timed ticket system, admitting guests at a specific time.
