An ice rink open year-round in Dallas? Who'd have thunk it? Come spring and summer, America's Ice Garden is still packed with graceful gliders. Folks from the city and beyond come out to show off their fancy footwork on 50,000 square feet of slick surface during freestyle sessions weekday evenings and Saturday mornings. Unsteady on the ice? Pair up with a pro for an "unconventional" skating lesson. Theater on Ice trains skaters in the performance and ensemble arts, and skate camp covers the gamut, from ballet techniques to jumps. Broomball warriors (hockey in your sneaks) rough up the ice on special occasions—birthday parties, corporate events—and sometimes just for the heck of it.
