The Dallas Arts District, at 68 acres, is the largest urban arts district in the country. It features 13 facilities, including the AT&T Performing Arts Center, which has an opera house, theater, outdoor artist square, and performance hall; the Dallas Museum of Art, a 100-year-old museum with nearly 25,000 pieces spanning some 3,000 years; the Nasher Sculpture Center, which includes more than 300 sculptures, along with 20th-century paintings and drawings; the Crow Collection of Asian Art, dedicated to the arts of China, Japan, India, and Southeast Asia; the Belo Mansion, the one-time home of a Dallas newspaper magnate that now serves as a reception and banquet hall; the Morton H. Meyerson Symphony Center, designed by architect I.M. Pei; and the Dallas Black Dance Theatre. Several hotels are inside the district, including the Fairmont Dallas and the Hyatt Regency Dallas, as well as a number of restaurants.
