This modern marine park, housing the deepest aquarium in Europe, is great for a family day out. It's quite extensive, with 55 aquariums presenting 8,000 specimens from 700 different species in 5 million liters of seawater. It has a strong educational component, and great lengths have been taken to painstakingly re-create a range of flora and fauna from the Mediterranean, as well as the Indian, Atlantic, and Pacific oceans. A transparent walk-through tunnel lets you spy on sharks and rays, and interactive hands-on aquariums let you get up close and personal with the sea life. There's also children's play zone with a pirate ship, and three restaurants and cafes.
