For families, the biggest attraction in the north of the island is Lovina. The resort comes complete with family-friendly restaurants and hotels, as well as gray- and black-sand beaches and calm waters ideal for snorkeling. What Lovina is best known for, though, is its dolphin-watching trips. Be prepared for an early start (6 a.m.), because tours go out to catch the dolphins at sunrise. Trips generally last for two hours, and sightings of large pods of dolphins are guaranteed. There may be many boats around, but this is still a magical experience for everyone.
