One of Sydney's newest family attractions is handily located next to Sydney Aquarium. Here, more than 65 exhibits introduce visitors to Australia's indigenous wildlife. Young children are thrilled in equal measures by the colorful butterflies and birds. Those who like their animals to creep and crawl will love the praying mantises, scorpions, spiders, and other bugs that live in the invertebrates habitat, as well as the slithering snakes and scaly lizards that inhabit the reptile house. Competing in the cuteness stakes, meanwhile, are the jumping kangaroos, the bounding rock wallabies, and the cuddly koalas. Wildlife World's Koala Sanctuary is an open-air rooftop exhibit. Visitors are also invited to have their photographs taken with these loveable marsupials.
