• A 2008 survey of TripAdvisor.com users ranked Family Kingdom the #5 Amusement Park in the United States.
• Ask around for discounts before buying your tickets here; normally, your hotel or campground will be able to save you a couple of bucks per person, and sometimes Kroger Supermarket (there's one near the park) sells steeply discounted Family Kingdom wristbands.
• My favorite ride here is the Swamp Fox, the rickety, brutal, enigmatic wooden roller coaster on the beach. As I wrote elsewhere, there's nothing like clicking your way to the top of a roller coaster incline while looking out over the vast Atlantic and pondering the corrosive effects of salt air on wood and metal.
