In the heart of Regina, Wascana Centre is one of the largest urban parks in North America. Encompassing 2,300 acres, it's larger than New York City's Central Park and Vancouver's Stanley Park. You can follow countless wooded paths, paddle on Wascana Lake, take a ferry to Willow Island for a picnic, and explore half a dozen different parks. Waterfowl Park has a marshland home to native and migrating birds, Wascana Park has a recreational pool and bandstand, and Lakeshore Park has picnic areas with barbecues. Kids will love the playground at Candy Cane Park; there's a variety of sports fields in Douglas Park, and shaded picnic sites in Goose Hill Park.
