Cayucos is known for its fishing pier, beautiful beach, and historical buildings. There are numerous restaurants and antique stores in the area, and the sandy beach offers mild weather, tidepooling, and watersports such as surfing and swimming.

  • Cayucos Beach is at the north end of Morro Strand Beach. Peaceful and undeveloped, it attracts swimmers and surfers.
  • In summer, lifeguards watch over the beach.
  • This is an excellent tidepooling spot, especially south of the pier in the rocks. Remember that tidepools and their inhabitants are protected by law—you cannot so much as move marine life.
Cayucos Beach is by the pier, where you can fish without a license. It's even lit at night for fishing under the stars.
