A 2.6-mile, moderately difficult hike. Little Falls Trail ascends 1,350 feet from Lopez Creek, through a forested canyon to a chaparral-covered ridge. Views from the ridge line are spectacular, reaching to the Pacific. One mile from the canyon trailhead is the 50-foot high "Little Falls," best viewed in early spring.
Directions: From Santa Margarita, Travel Southeast on Pozo Road for about 10 miles to the Rinconada Trailhead. Begin hiking here the Little Falls Trail begins and enters the Wilderness in about a mile.
