  • This scenic, easy hike covers a 1.5-mile loop along the South Fork Kings River in the Cedar Grove area of Kings Canyon. The trail passes by fern-filled meadows, tall granite cliffs, and a jumbled rockslide. A self-guiding interpretive brochure is available at the trailhead. Many hikers carry along their fly rods to try their luck in the meandering Kings River.
  • If you aren't in a hurry, you can extend this hike by connecting to the River Trail at the Zumwalt Meadow suspension bridge. Follow River Trail downstream for 1.6 miles to Roaring River Falls.

Address:
The trail begins at the Zumwalt Meadow parking area, 1 mile west of Road's End, past Cedar Grove Village
Sequoia & Kings Canyon, California
