Stearns Wharf is California's oldest working wharf.   • There's something for everyone at this longtime Santa Barbara landmark. It's California's oldest working wharf and you can still watch the fishing boats off-load their morning catch.
  • You can take a whale-watching tour from the wharf; you can also fish, and if you need bait, tackle, or other necessities—including good local information—there's a bait and tackle shop on the wharf.
  • Eating and shopping are prime activities here, along with visiting a small natural history musem. Perhaps the oddest activity is getting a reading from Madame Rosinka, who has been at the wharf since 1951. Maybe she can tell you if the fishing will be good.
