• Discovery Park is part of the Sacramento area flood control system, so in the winter the area is prone to being underwater if there is heavy rainfall.
• Bicycle riders should take advantage of the 32-mile Jedediah Smith Bike Trail.
• No alcohol is allowed at the park. except by permit from the Director, and with reservations for picnics and special events.
