The Café Du Monde Coffee Stand opened in 1862 in the New Orleans French Market. Today, it is open 24 hours a day, every day of the week, on Decatur Street in the French Quarter. Café du Monde sells dark-roasted coffee and chicory, chocolate milk, fresh-squeezed orange juice, and beignets. There are two other locations in the area: in The Esplanade mall, 15 minutes from Downtown New Orleans, and Riverwalk Marketplace, next to the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center.
