What could be a more genuine New Orleans experience than moving down the Mississippi river on a steamboat? The Steamboat Natchez offers morning, early afternoon, and dinner cruises daily during the season (November through February), with special event cruises on a handful of holidays including Mother’s Day, Independence Day, and Easter Sunday. The ship's crew gives an oral tour, pointing out highlights and historical facts along the way as you steam your way from the French Quarter up the river, viewing the city of New Orleans from a whole new perspective.
The morning and early-afternoon cruises include an optional Creole lunch (for an additional $10 for adults, $8 for kids) and a calliope concert, while the evening tour offers dinner ($14.50 adults, $12.25 kids) and live jazz music (plus the added benefit of a nighttime view of the city lights from the river). Children six and under always cruise free with an adult, but food costs may apply.(-) Close
