Scores of hands-on exhibits teach children all they could ever want to know about science. At Newton’s Notions, kids discover the basic laws of physics as they bounce balls, create a maze of plumbing, and play tunes on a panpipe. A permanent exhibit, hosted in conjunction with the Smithsonian Institution, explores ancient Caribbean and Latin American cultures. –Candyce Stapen
