Jungle Island, on Miami's Watson Island, is an 18.6-acre theme park that is home to more than 3,000 exotic animals and 500 species of plants. Here, visitors enjoy animal stage shows, one-of-a-kind interactive aviaries, plant nurseries, jungle trails, a petting farm, and educational exhibits, as well as world-famous parrot shows, the Serpentarium, the Jungle Theater, the Everglades Habitat, and much more—all nestled on a lush tropical island. A new show called "Dr. Wasabi's Wild Adventures" takes an audience full of research assistants on a wild safari adventure through the animal kingdom, with appearances by a variety of animals, including a baby warthog, baboons, and African penguins. The park also offers guided audio tours in both English and Spanish for visitors looking to get a more in-depth experience. Some of Jungle Island's famous animal residents include Pinky, the hire-wire bicycle-riding Cockatoo; Mama Cass, the only tame cassowary on the planet; and Hercules the tiger, who was added to Guinness World Records in 2006 and currently holds the title of World's Largest Cat. Jungle Island is also home to Peanut and Pumpkin, just the third set of orangutan twins born in captivity.
