The USS Midway, both the largest and the longest-serving aircraft carrier in the world at its time, now welcomes visitors to explore what life was like at sea. Airplane aficionados will love the 25 restored aircraft (many of which you can climb in and imagine soaring out over San Diego Bay). You can explore everything from the pilots' ready room to the ship's jail, and the self-guided audio tour included with admission gives you insights from Midway sailors on their floating home.
