  • Often referred to as San Francisco's most beautiful or scenic beach, Baker Beach has a spectacular view of the Golden Gate Bridge and Marin Headland, and if you're looking for a place to catch the sunset, this is a good choice.
  • Baker Beach has severe rip currents and undertow. It is definitely not safe for swimming, but it is a popular spot for kite flying and sunbathing (be aware that the north end of the beach is clothing optional). Restrooms are nearby.
  • Baker Beach is located within the Presidio and all that it offers, including good hiking.
