The décor may be uninspired (think '70s airport lounge) and the number of muted, clashing TV screens may seem over-indulgent, but the Fountainhead remains the number one gayborhood pub in town, the food is dependable, and the place is always crammed. Seats on the pleasant, heated, sidewalk patio, and their gay village views, are much coveted. Put your name on the chalkboard list and wait it out, it's worth it to see everybody stroll faux-nonchalantly by. It's one of the places where you'll always find a few tables of lesbians and the local ladies rule the pool table by the door. Unless you're a pro, don't even bother trying to pick up a cue.
