A sliver of a venue at the northwest end of the gay village, the restaurant's tables are tightly packed together, making eavesdropping almost obligatory. An interesting mixture of city scenesters, off-duty chefs, and gay artists and models from the neighborhood pack onto bar stools and around wooden, candle-lit tables. The menu features foods inspired by Mexico, the Southwest, and the Caribbean, with some stand-out dishes, such as the killer ceviche. An impressive collection of tequilas lines the bar, ranging from Sauza Blanoc to Patron Anejo. To be sure of a space, opt for an early dinner or pop in for share plates after 9:00 p.m.
