Focusing on the history, arts, and culture of the region's indigenous people, known as First Nations in Canada, the museum teems with an incredible array of exhibits. Totem poles, canoes, and other artwork fills the impressive space. Beyond towering glass windows and lofty totems, there's a recreation of a traditional coastal village. If you see nothing else, spend some time contemplating famed Haida artist Bill Reid's The Raven and the Beast, a cedar testament to his tribe's legend of evolution.
