  • Lake Union is a freshwater lake within the city limits. It was formed some 12,000 years ago.
  • Sailing and kayaking are popular here. Agua Verde Paddle Club rents kayaks, as does Northwest Oudoor Center, which also offers lessons. Moss Bay Rowing, Kayaking and Sailing has rowing shells, kayaks, and sailboats for all sizes and experience levels.
  • As you paddle or sail on the lake watch for bald eagles, great blue herons, and other flying residents.
