A full-on, hardcore leather bar in the old-fashioned sense of the term, the Ramrod is a two-story grindhouse where the action is all in the ticket-only disco, Machine, and in the invitation-only leather bar where green lights are given for Tom of Finland lookalikes and not much else. The Ramrod is likened to the leather scene in cities like Montreal, and there is plenty of backstage action going on here, too. It’s not a “twinkie” bar in any sense of the word, and the bar also regularly hosts the younger gay goth club, ManRay.
