While many decry the dearth of gay bars in Boston (the number has declined drastically since the advent of the Internet), The Alley Bar has been going strong for more than 26 years. These days, it’s very much a niche market, billing itself as “Where the Bears Are.” A friendly cocktail crowd on weekdays make it a fun place for everyone to hang out although the bar has a regular and very inventive parade of bear-tastic events, competitions, and get-togethers. Every Sunday is karaoke night.
